Distant Healing with Marie

WHAT IS DISTANT REIKI HEALING?
Reiki is an original method of healing, developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century, which is activated by intention. Reiki’s natural healing energy is believed to work on every level, not just the physical, and promotes the body’s regenerative self-healing ability. The Japanese word Reiki means ‘Universal Energy’. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being. It is known as ‘ki’ in Japan, ‘chi’ in China and ‘prana’ in India.

With distant healing, the recipient and the healer do not need to be in the same room. The healing transcends time and space and goes where it is needed through intention. But how is this possible? We are not just our physical bodies. The body is simply a vessel that the soul inhabits to enable it to experience life on planet earth. We are much much more than our physical bodies! Surrounding the body are several layers of invisible energy – the energy or aura as it is often called – this is where we store our thoughts, emotions and karmic energy patterns from this life and beyond. It is also through our energy field that we connect spiritually to the source of life and all that is contained within the ‘invisible’ spiritual realms.

Everything in life consists of energy. This 3 dimensional world that we inhabit is of a slow energy vibration which makes it appear to be solid. Our physical bodies are also of a dense, slow frequency and the energy channels frequently get congested, like a traffic jam.

The energy of Reiki can be used to great effect in many ways. Whether you are suffering from stress or tension, and the many symptoms associated with this, or wishing to improve the quality of relationships at home or work, the beneficial effects of Reiki may occur on many levels. Reiki is thought to accelerate healing, balance the emotions and free us from restrictive mental attitudes. It helps to provide a closer connection with inner wisdom. Reiki is a non-invasive therapy that can be used without fear of any side-effects or overdose. It can be used with confidence alongside conventional medication or natural remedies because it acts in a complementary way.

What are the chakras?

The seven chakras are spinning ‘wheels’ of energy, located in a line going through the centre of the body. It is through the chakras that spiritual energy is received and transmitted so that it can be utilised during life. The chakras regulate the dlow of energy throughout the electrical network or meridian system that run through the physical body.

When the chakras become blocked, then problems occur, physically, emotionally or mentally. In a state of perfect harmony, the chakras vibrate to their true colours (as seen below) and spin in a balanced way; too fast and they become over-active, resulting in complaints such as hyperactivity, over-active thyroid or irritable bowel syndrome, too slow and the resulting symptoms could be depression, tiredness and lethargy or under-active glands.

When a healer works with the chakras they are helping to restore the natural flow of energy through these centres. The chakras can also be balanced via visualisation techniques.

Healing also:
-Moves energy through the meridians
-Clears stagnant and blocked energy patches
-Increases the flow of energy to the vital organs
-Encourages relaxation and a balanced state of being which in turn leads to a more harmonious chakra system.

How do this work practically?
A time will be agreed on when you are free to relax and that is when the healing will be given. There is no need to call or video call during the session. There is the option for an email or telephone call afterwards to receive feedback and findings. You may or may not feel something during the session - most people are aware that something is happening. Those who are very intuitive may feel specific things or see colours/images during the session. Sound, crystals, channellings and essential oils/aura soma essences may also be incorporated into the healing sessions.
